ABOUT THE DESIGNER:

Stephania Ayiotou, also known as Stefficrown has been in the fashion industry since the age of 15.
Born in Cyprus, to a Colombian mother and Greek father who traveled a lot and loved fashion she got to know a lot about it and explore it from very young.
London was her biggest inspiration, the streets of London always pushed the boundaries of cool and bent the status quo. Italian tailoring from her father’s mentoring due to him being raised in New York and the classic cinema she enjoyed with him.
She began styling for fashion magazines at 15 and then at the request of a Cypriot company she created her 1st couture collection sponsored by Corona and Moet Chandon.
This collection opened the door to dress big stars in Hollywood and be featured in multiple publications as a designer, and although she studied Film Direction in New York and has paved a successful music career in Colombia as a music artist and composer, fashion continues to pulse through her DNA, inevitably.
The concept of G7AR (pronounced Gear) was born out of the need to make quality garments for everyday use that are ethically sourced and produced and have solid durability, going against the hype and fast fashion trends. In 2020 (during COVID) the idea began to take form also as a cry out to designing a new life where consumption does not create waste anymore.
Cradle to cradle design where every single object we design for our bodies is with intention.
Not only for our personal/biological habitat but also the one we inhabit. If the threads that make our textiles are consciously made, our bodies will also function in optimal output as opposed to a garment made solely for the purpose of profit and a short life span (i.e polyester).
When you sweat into polyester you are stressing your biological system with toxins and decreasing your oxygen intake. As opposed to using and coming in contact with organically produced cotton, linen or silk which are breathable textiles that soothe and energize the body, increasing its vibration and physical output capacity. Every single one of us influences the space we inhabit. Every single thing we wear, eat, say, buy, do and even think has a ripple effect in this physical realm called the material aspect of planet earth, hence also the invisible energetic dimensions.
After spending 3 years meticulously sourcing the most ethical high quality textiles in the Colombian market and studying their production processes we present to you SAFARI phase 1, a collection which will drop in various chapters as we unravel the outdoor Colombian country lifestyle and Colombian strong spirit represented through its fabrics and the majestic beauty of it’s natural resources and infinite possibilities. Through this journey you will get acquainted with some of the most beautiful parts of natural Colombia, how people live and thrive in them, and how this simple yet complex lifestyle can inspire you, and your personal life’s design.
